Tell President Trump: Support Protections for Bristol Bay!
Use the form to add your name to the following letter, which we will submit to President Trump:
Dear President Donald Trump,
For more than a decade, a broad coalition of sportsmen, commercial fishermen, Alaska Natives, and thousands of others have supported protections for Bristol Bay, Alaska.
Bristol Bay is home to the world’s largest run of wild sockeye salmon and has provided for Alaska Native communities for thousands of years. Today it supports an economy worth $1.5 billion a year and over 14,000 sustainable, American jobs. This fishery is threatened by a Canadian company proposing one of North America’s largest open pit copper and gold mines: the Pebble Mine.
As the President of the United States, we urge you to protect Bristol Bay and its thriving sport, commercial and subsistence fishing industries that support thousands of American jobs. Please put a stop to the Pebble Mine and finalize the Clean Water Act 404(c) protections that have been supported by over 1.5 million Americans.
